Project Amigo: Service Learning Trip - Travel with Purpose! We will be taking a team of 18 students and alumni to the Dominican Republic during the Winter Reading Break (Feb. 14th - 23rd) to build a home for a local family in need. Interested in joining the team? Contact Steph at stephanie.alexandre@ucalgary.ca. We will also have info tables at MRU (Main Street, Oct. 3rd, 12:30 to 4PM) and the UofC (Science A, Oct. 4th, 10AM to 4PM). Come hang out with us!

Jesus Loves You Society - JLYS Centre for Families is a local Calgary non-profit located in the Beltline. Its purpose is to slow down life enough to build friendships with low-income mothers and their children by providing a safe environment for them to find practical help (such as food, clothing, and shelter); physical, emotional, and spiritual care; and genuine relationships that grow into friendships. There are opportunities to serve any day on Tuesdays-Thursdays from 4 to 7pm. If you’d like a little bit of guidance, join Art on Thursdays, 4 to 7 pm, to engage with homework club for the kids and to join the dinner table to build relationships with families.
